Frequently Asked Questions

When are we open?

We are open weekdays from 8am to 8pm. Appointments can usually always be facilitated within 24 hours.

How long are appointments?

Appointments usually last between 30 and 40 minutes.

Do I need a referral from a Doctor?

No. You can make an appointment without a referral from your GP. If on assessment we deem your condition requires medical attention we will refer you on.

I have Private Medical Insurance - am I covered with you?

We are recognised by all the major insurance companies, as we are Chartered Physiotherapists. The amount that can be claimed varies with your plan. Treatment costs are also tax deductible via a Med-1 form. Please refer to our costs page for further details.

Do you accept Laser/Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept all major cards.

What should I wear?

Generally wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. For conditions affecting the legs, it is a good idea to bring shorts.

How many treatments will I need?

We do not have a set number of treatments for any condition - every patient is an individual. However, following your first appointment your physiotherapist will discuss the anticipated number of treatments. You will be reassessed on each visit. On average, most patients usually require 2-3 treatments.

Will I be expected to do anything in between treatments?

Yes. Once your physiotherapist has identified the root cause of your condition you will be advised on steps you can take to help speed up your recovery and ultimately prevent recurrence. This may be in the form of gentle exercises or simply changing your posture.

Can I expect discomfort after my treatment?

This varies between people. Some people do experience some short term discomfort which quickly subsides. Your physiotherapist will take this into account during your treatment.

We believe in providing a thorough, hands-on approach to treatments and our aim is always to find and treat the root cause of any symptoms, rather than simply treating the symptoms alone.
